  1. I thought it was interesting how the movie incorporated science and religion to explain how the world was created. The first part of the movie was how science thought the world was created, with the Big Bang and the evolution of atoms into creatures, but the evolution stopped at the apes. The apes did not evolve into humans like science said and showed how humans were created from a religious point of view, and I thought it was so cool how the movie used both science and religion to explain how the world was created.

  2. Basically this is just like the story of Adam and Eve. The earth was created and all the animals did what they had to do to survive and the earth was fine. That is until the humans came along and ate the forbidden fruit and caused the earth much damage. It seems like that is what started wars amongst people. So, humans basically ruined the earth because it was good with just the animals.

  3. I thought that the clip is interesting in that it basically describes the whole process of evolution and looks an extreme amount like the big bang theory in spite of its biblical roots, which can easily look/become contradictory but it made sure to leave blanks that connected it to the bible. Like the spontaneous creation of every thing and the creation of people, it basically skips to the creations of people. And if you listen carefully, as I picked up on, he describes the process of evolution and creation as happening in a manner of days. It is also interesting to me how he describes animals as going after each other, and basically killing and eating each other within their own species and dismisses them. And last, when he describes human sin the picture depicts as I am assuming the story of Cain and Able, to show brother against brother. It is interesting how he can freely admit and come to the understanding that it is humans destroying the earth and sullying the world starting with Adam and Eve, and yet, as the story goes, proceeds to fight for the survival of humans/mankind

The Noah Clip is showing us how the earth, and how our world evolved. Its shows all of “Gods” creation and how he made all the water, and plants ( The forbidden fruit tree) , all the animals. Also how he created man, By making Adam and Eve. They ate the forbidden fruit and we had to live in sin because of them. It shows how our earth started from nothing and “God” created everything.

This clip has to do with the big bang theory and also the biblical story of the creationism and adam and eve eating the forbidden fruit.

From the start humans had caused trouble. Adam and Eve gave into their temptations of wanting to eat the forbidden fruit and disobeyed God. As a result they were punished. They were no longer immortal and had to survive on their own. From then on, man has had sin implanted in them. Humans do bad things like lie, steal, cheat, destroy, kill, manipulate etc. We are not perfect but flawed, and it all links back to Adam and Eve. Some blame is put on them for giving into their temptations. Even though humans commit sins, humans are also capable of doing great things.

  7. I liked the movie clip it showed a great example of the bible and an great example of how life came to be on earth prior to humans.

When I saw the movie title, Noah, I immediately though of the Bible story of Noah and his humongous ark. And I was somewhat right.
The movie starts off with an elder man(Noah?), describing how there was only darkness and silence, and then God created light and day, and living organisms start to form and reproduce, which I though was similar to the Grizzly story, and the Turtle’s Back story. Then the Adam and Eve part, where they ate the forbidden fruit, I related that to the pregnant lady in the Turtle’s story. And the trailer continues to a darker path, where man fights against man, nation against nations, and eventually led to a mass destruction, and every thing is surrounded by water again. Water is a fundamental source of life, but it can also destroy the livings.
I am curious, what is the importance of the snake molting/shedding skin?

  9. The first clip reminds me of the Grizzly Bear and Turtle’s Back story, mainly the Grizzly Bear story, the part where the creation of animals was being described with pieces of the broken stick in the second or third paragraph.

  10. I found the clip unique because it is a mix between science with the pictures (big bang theory, evolution, etc.) and religion with the words.

  11. This movie clip was fantastic! The visuals and the way the story was shown was just brilliant. Not only that, but I noticed a similarity between Adam and Eve and the man and woman from “The Turtle’s Back”, the story we read in class.

  12. The Big Bang and rumbling of the earth created oceans which spawned life because water has to mean life thus evolving into life we have today
