Greeting Card Rubric

A typical greeting card has a specific purpose: your card is meant to express love or friendship. The front cover of a greeting card has an illustration and/or a message that “hooks” the receiver. The inside usually has a continuation of the message begun on the cover. The creator’s name and design always appear on the back of the card.

You must create a Valentine card that:

1) Uses TWO of the Valentine’s Day greetings from Part 2.

2) Uses your phrases on your card on the cover and the inside.

3) Includes a colorful drawing or decorative feature that relates to Love, your greeting, or Valentine’s Day (original or copied by hand OR a collage of cutouts from catalogs or magazines). Remember to make the card appealing to the receiver.
