COPY THE FOLLOWING STEPS* INTO THE AN TAB (there will be more steps tomorrow): STEPS FOR RESULT CLAUSES 1. Find ut or ut nôn – CIRCLE it. 2. Find the subjunctive verb of the subordinate clause– ANALYZE it (person, number, tense, voice, mood) 3. BRACKET the subordinate clause (begins with ut ends with subjunctive verb).

WATCH MOVIE and FILL IN the movie viewing guide for “Legacy of Roman Empire” HAND IN whatever is completed at end of class (to be continued tomorrow)

OPEN Workbook to pages 38 & 39; TAKE OUT last night’s homework

GSA 01/04:  For Wkbk p 38 #1 & 2 and Wkbk p 39 #1 & 3, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1. CIRCLE the adverb that indicates the beginning of the subord clause (ut/ne).

2. FIND and ANALYZE the subord verb (comes after the ut/ne).

3. BRACKET the subord clause (from ut/ne to the subord verb)

4. TRANSLATE the MAIN CLAUSE.

5. TRANSLATE the SUBORD CLAUSE (use “so that… may…” or “so that… may not”
