  1. I thought this clip was very nice!! It talked about the creation of the Earth and how it was peaceful before mankind. I don’t really believe that but the clip showed great evidence to support that theory.

  2. I thought it was creative how the took the different videos and combined it all into one piece for the part where it had all the different animals walking on earth. It also made it simple to convey the idea of creation.

  3. Clip was cool and had a lot of the same things that we have seen in the stories we have read so far such as the creation of man animals and plants and a problem that was faced

  4. The clip included the theory of evolution with the cells turning into fish then going onto land and eventually turning into apes and humans. Also included the bible references to Adam and Eve as the first humans and how the snake tempted them into eating the forbidden fruit.

  5. I thought that video was very interesting and very in depth. I saw similarities in the video that we have seen in class. For example, when the fish were swimming in the ocean and turned into flying birds, it reminded me of the image we saw based on the story The Turtles Back.

  6. The clip was fascinating. It showed the progression of each living creature as well the creation of the earth. It also had biblical connection with Adam and Eve and it related it to how humans have destroyed the earth and created war.

  7. For starters, when it starts with the “let there be light”, maybe that’s why light is associated with purity and the beginning and good things, while darkness is the opposite. I like how it talked about where we are as a society is our fault. And finally, leaves us wondering how they are going to start over.

  8. The video clip relates to the two creation myths we have read and studied in this class. Like in those stories, an explanation is given for the beginning of a specific place, in this story it is the creation of Earth.

  9. I found this clip interesting showing the creation. The clip showed at the end The Temptation of Adam & Eve and how her disobedience created war throughout the centuries to come.

  10. The video displayed the creation of animals and things put on earth and the aftermath of human creation. How man destroyed everything beautiful that was about the world. The flashes and changes in the video were effective because in a span of three minutes, earth’s existence was theorically shown.

  11. The clip we watched was very interesting and deep. In the beginning it started off dark, and as galaxies and planets start to form, color begins to show, this represents “life” or lifeforms we are going to see later on. It shows how animals evolve from a bacterium into more complex creatures such as fish, reptiles, dinosaurs, lion-looking things, etc. Then comes man, the most important creation of all time. (At this point, they’re glowing bright). The background begins to get dark once again as mankind from all parts of the world kill one another for power (bc of greed etc.)

  12. This clip was all about the creation of earth. It was relating to the bible, and how things were made. Also relating to the myths we’ve read in class and how the earth was created. Adam and Eve and the garden of Eden were shown as well and I think it was a video that was trying its best to portray a serious mood.

  13. This clip was very deep. It shows how the world was created. I think it mostly relates to the story that we read on the Iroquois. It showed how animals formed and it showed Adam and Eve.

  14. what’s most remarkable to me is that the story of creation actually incorporated sciency video footage. typically creation stories jump right into the “adam and eve” section of history, the creation of man. this one began at the begining of the universe and it interprates the biblical creation myth that way. most likely it did this to avoid ridicule from the scientific viewers, seeing as it is a blockbuster movie and all.

  15. The clip is of a Christian standpoint and explains the creation of earth and it’s creatures, but has many elements of scientific fact intertwined with the classic bible tale of Adam and Eve. It also explains the fall of Adam and Eve, when Eve gave into temptation and ate the forbidden fruit. Which resulted in their exile from paradise, which is typical for the Jungian archetype of a “Fall”.

  16. This is a biblical representation of the creation of the world. This is very different from the creation myths we read in class which have had the world already created. The people in the myths we read in class just made life, but in noah God made everything.

  17. The Noah clip is similar to the first myth, When the Grizzlies Walked Upright, being that the earth and nature was created before animals and people. The clip then connects to The Turtle’s Back where there are beings who are higher than regular humans, though not created yet, live alone in a paradise-like place, until the woman defies the rules, and either take something from a sacred tree and thus end their time in paradise by leaving forcefully.

  18. The video clip was a version of a creation story. It talks about Adam and Eve and the temptation from the snake and the apple. At the end it shows how the fight between Cain and Able turned into a fight between two nations.

  19. I thought that the clip is interesting in that it basically describes the whole process of evolution and looks an extreme amount like the big bang theory in spite of its biblical roots, which can easily look/become contradictory but it made sure to leave blanks that connected it to the bible. Like the spontaneous creation of every thing and the creation of people, it basically skips to the creations of people. And if you listen carefully, as I picked up on, he describes the process of evolution and creation as happening in a manner of days. It is also interesting to me how he describes animals as going after each other, and basically killing and eating each other within their own species and dismisses them. And last, when he describes human sin the picture depicts as I am assuming the story of Cain and Able, to show brother against brother. It is interesting how he can freely admit and come to the understanding that it is humans destroying the earth and sullying the world starting with Adam and Eve, and yet, as the story goes, proceeds to fight for the survival of humans/mankind.

  20. I find this interesting, it really connects with what we’ve been reading and the idea that the Earth was created by one person. The clip was also very different because it discusses the theory of Evolution, but both the clip and the myths we’ve been reading have biblical references.

  21. Despite its reference to the bible in the title of the movie, there was quite a bit of evidence relating back to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution; such evidence was the description in the occurrence of creation in a matter of days, and the scenes changing to show the changes people experience as the individual depicted was seen holding new forms of weaponry after the other. It’s portrayed in a rather satirical manner with how it references things like sins and creation of humans, but rely on the imagery of scientific ideals.

  22. The clip connects to the two stories we’ve been reading in class because each talk about the beginning of time. The only difference is that the clip goes into more detail as to how the world was created and how since humans were formed, we are the ones who are destroying the planet. “On the Turtles Back” and “When Grizzlies walked Upright” touch more on the new creations after earth, but never about who would be the cause of its destruction.

  23. The story Noah told was very interesting especially with all the graphics adding to his story. This story is more about the creation of the world and its creatures and then how Adam and Eve tainted everything. It was very smart of them to do it in the order becuase usually when you speak of Adam and Eve, its rarely spoken of how exactly they got there. Usually it just says that God placed them in Paradise. This story relates to all we have been doing recently because it is another account of how the world was created.
