The movie has to do with the creation of the world starting with the Big Bang and following throuh with evolution. Has to do with the biblical aspect of creation including Adam and Eve and how their sin affected the world regarding mankind
This video clip relates to what we’ve been discussing in class. The clip shows a story of the beginning where in the beginning there is nothing but a creator and then there is light, and with light comes life and water as in many of the myths and stories we’ve read. It demonstrates motifs of creation, light vs darkness, good vs evil, gender, temptation, and destruction.
It explains the beginning of things: the foundation of humans is based on sin and war. Adam and Eve were the first humans on earth and they were. the original sinners. Because of Adam and Eve’s sin, humans have been killing each for centuries.
It explains events in nature such as how the earth was formed (the big bang), how land and animals were created.
It showed how Noah’s father explained that at first there was nothing, then there was light and all these things came to be. It relates to how stories are passed down.
The noah movie is very similar to myths we have studied so far. There are elements of nothingness and a higher power creating eart,animals, etc. there is also the element of curiosity and letting that overcome a person and ruin benelovence.
It related back to the bible with Adam and Eve. Ever since then we’ve had sin in the world. We’ve related other stories that we read back to the bible.

The clip was very intense while it was explaining the beginning of everything. It felt like I was in a history class again. Or even a science class with the evolution part of the clip

I don’t think the fact that people fight and kill each other is related to the story of Adam and Eve. I think that it’s human nature to disagree and clash because different groups of people are just that – different. There’s no way people would’ve been perfect if Eve hadn’t eaten that apple. One person’s mistake can’t lead to the downfall of our entire species.
This trailer/clip was an interpretation from the Bibles’ story, Noah’s Arc. Noah is sitting on the arc, sharing the story of the creation with his family. And it is true that man has ruined the world–we have not only ruined a lot biodiversity; but are currently bringing about our own downfall. Yet we do not have another chance to have a “clean slate,” with 40 days and nights of rain. Instead we will bare the consequences and suffer. We had a glimpse of paradise but turned from the goods of the world and made a life style of money.
This movie clip made me want to watch the full thing. I like how the creation of earth was portrayed. It was really interesting how the animals adapted and evolved. I really disliked the snakes though!
The clip had to do with a greater power creating animals and life. This relates to what we have been talking about because the myths that we have read discussed the creation of the earth and animals. There was also a tree in the Noah clip which relates to the bible and the myths that we have discussed. There are also two people and a snake and the forbidden fruit that is also in the bible. Discussing the forbidden fruit leads back to the concept of curiosity.
The movie clip told of how the earth was created and that reminded me of the two stories we read last week. Between the three, each had a slightly different explanation of how the earth was created and how things came to be. I thought the glowing people that (I think) represented Adam and Eve was really interesting~

This movie clip has to do with myths we have learned about because Noah is passing on how he and his father believe the world was created. All the myths we have read so far tell us how they believe the world came to be also.
It had a lot of similarities with what makes a myth a myth. For example, there was the creator, God. There was also the theme of curiosity (when Eve followed the snake to the tree of forbidden fruit) which is prevalent among many myths, such as the Native American myth, “the World on Turtle’s Back”, in which the woman wanted to eat from the Great Tree on Sky World.
The video tells a story that has to do with the creation of earth, creatures, and humans which relates back to the stories we have been reading in class. Also in the video there is some sort of downfall which is a common motif in mythology.
I really like how they incorporated the theory of evolution in his story. I find that quite refreshing since this is a Christian story and this idea does not really go well with their beliefs, they think of if as a hoax. In Noah you see both beliefs going together into one, not bashing the idea that either of them exist. The story makes sense when you use both aspects.
From what I can see and understand, the creation of the world is being displayed in front of me. I see a lot of what we read from the stories in the clip. Evolution of mankind, human desire for power, etc.
Despite its reference to the bible in the title of the movie, there was quite a bit of evidence relating back to Darwin’s Theory of Evolution; such evidence was the description in the occurrence of creation in a matter of days, and the scenes changing to show the changes people experience as the individual depicted was seen holding new forms of weaponry after the other. It’s portrayed in a rather satirical manner with how it references things like sins and creation of humans, but rely on the imagery of scientific ideals.
This clip shows that in the beginning there was nothing, until some supernatural being caused the bi bang. This big bang allowed small life to form which eventually formed into larger more complex life. Which eventually leads to the creation of man. This clip ties into both religion and Darwins theory of evolution
