Finish reflective writing assignment on a separate sheet of paper (Step 5 of Creation Myths Jigsaw Powerpoint; To be handed on Monday so make sure it is on a clean sheet of paper – not from your interactive notebook!)

Go back through the story to analyze the author’s use of specific and engaging language by carefully selecting and writing down use of
5 action verbs OR word phrases,
5 specific nouns
5 pronouns
5 vivid adjectives.
Be sure to state how this word choice enhances the tone of the story.

Examples

5 Nouns –> Iroquois, West Wind, Great Tree, Earth-Diver, Sky World –> clearly important due to capitalization. other words referring to critical characters in the story are NOT capitalized (e.g., The woman who fell from the Sky World and who appears important to the plot is given no name and no special title.)
